| Railroad: BNSF Locomotive: BNSF 4160 Location: Cass Lake Yard City: Cass Lake, Minnesota Date: 09-02-2008 Remarks: The BNSF replaced the diamonds in Moorhead and routed numerous trains through Cass Lake. I was able to catch only a couple of them and the poor weather didn't really help. |

| Railroad: BNSF Locomotive: EMD 9066 Location: Cass Lake Yard City: Cass Lake, Minnesota Date: 09-03-2008 Remarks: I stood next to the tracks with blisters on my feet for almost two hours waiting for this train to come. After receiving several hundred odd stares the train finally showed and about five other people joined me. |

I was able to get set up with just seconds to spare thanks to another motorists that was blocking the access road. |

| Railroad: BNSF Locomotive: BNSF 9966 Location: Farden Township City: Cass Lake, Minnesota Date: 09-19-2008 Remarks: Coal loads blast the County Road 101 grade crossing. This is a fairly busy road and there isn't much for grade crossing protection. The skid marks on the road are evident of a few close calls. |
